Olveston Historic House & Larnach Castle

This is one of our favourite tours.  Join us and discover two of our historic mansions. Olveston Historic House built between 1903-1906 for Dunedin businessman, collector and philanthropist David Theomin which was the family home between 1906-1966. Olveston has 35 rooms although not all rooms are open to the public.  Olveston also has Art collection tours by appointment.

Larnach Castle built between 1871-1887 for William James Mudie Larnach a entrepreneur and politician of Otago, with the ballroom being the last edition for his favourite daughter Kate's 21st Birthday.  The castle comprises of 43 rooms.  Explore the beautiful gardens set out on a 14 hectare property.

Then explore the breath taking city of Dunedin.  Learn some of Dunedin's history as well as seeing some of Dunedin's most historic buildings and monuments.
